So much has happened...

... that has unfortunately been keeping me away from all of my fanfic friends and family. I am truly sorry that I have not been around but life has been... weird. Things finally started making sense again and then I go and get a new job. It's a craptastic job but its at least income. Then Kayde finally had her beautiful little baby boy on March 31 (which is what this post is really all about). So, with out further ado... I present to you all... Dylan.

30 minutes old

Finally up!

Found the buffet!

Easter

But I don't wanna stand still!!!

He was gonna be named Jackson or Jasper but Dylan fits him so much better.

Things are getting crazy 'round here

I know, I've been completely neglecting my blog and updating The Art of Redemption. BUT real life is getting crazy... Champ is learning that his brain is actually in his head and not swinging between his back legs so he's in training full-time. Yeah, we're taking advantage of it. Mia is gearing up for her first time undersaddle. And most importantly, Kayde is MAYBE a month out from foaling so we are definetely gearing up for that. The name has already been chosen but it will all depend on whether or not its a little boy or little girl.

This last school session was a royal pain in the ass. Seriously... whoever invented financing... you fucking suck!

Just thought I'd update all of my five followers and however many readers I may have out there on the WWW. Real life calls.

The Quick n Dirty preview of TAoR chapter 9

Nope... I'm not dead. Kind of seems like it though with how quiet I've been right? Well, I promise I'm not. Here is a quick n dirty (ie short and unedited) teaser of The Art of Redemption chapter 9: Uninvited Houseguests.

Alice POV

“We’re going to New Mexico,” I announced to Carlisle and Esme as I walked into Carlisle’s study.
“And why are we going to New Mexico?” my father asked.

“To save our family; we leave the day after tomorrow when everyone else gets back,” I said, turning to walk out.

“All of it?” Esme asked hopefully, she had missed Bella terribly and even without my ex-husband’s gift, I could feel her longing. But I couldn’t give her a definitive answer; there were too many variables and too many different outcomes.

“I hope so.”

I quietly walked to my room. I could hear Esme and Carlisle discussing our upcoming holiday in New Mexico. Esme was ready to go in, scoop Bella up and never let go. But it wouldn’t be easy. Bella wouldn’t trust us and every vision I had of Thanksgiving showed Bella walking away from all of us, even Jasper. And I didn’t know how to stop it.

I couldn’t blame her though. Four years ago, we all walked away from her and seemingly never looked back. I checked on her from time to time to see how she was coping and was happy to see what a beautiful young woman she has transformed into. But it wasn’t easy for her to get there.

I knew it wasn’t going to be.

I had seen the results of us leaving before we had even left. Her father’s murder, her mother’s and stepfather’s murder… all of it. But most importantly, I saw that us leaving led her to Jasper which outweighed all the bad. Had we never left; they would have never ‘found’ each other and their destiny would have never been fulfilled.

Something big was coming. And it would be because of Jasper and Bella’s love that we would all survive. Without them, we would surely perish.

Happy New Year everyone!!

I apologize for missing lately, quite a bit has happened in December. That said, I hope everyone had a fun, fantastic and safe New Year's eve and are fighting any potential hangovers today. Since it is now the New Year, it's time to set our goals for 2011.

My FanFic goals for 2011:

  • Finish The Art of Redemption
    • Stick to a consistant schedule
  • Outline sequel for TAoR
  • Start new AH Bella/Jasper fic that has been begging to be put to paper
  • Writing more than I read
I know it's not much... but they are goals and that's what is important.

And since it's a new month, it's time to retire the December Twilight Actor of the Month with some yummy eye candy and pick a new guy.

And with that, I bid adieu to Taylor Lautner and welcome for January:

Jackson Rathbone! I know he was November's Twi-guy but I can't help it... we all love him.

Because we all need laughter in our life...

Especially now during the stressful holidays. So, I bring you these hoping they will bring a smile and a house full of laughs.

^ I saw that and I could not stop laughing my ass off! Especially after just reading Jazzella's Behind Enemy Lines. Seriously, I almost fell off the couch!

Happy Holidays everyone!

Amber

Happy Birthday Jackson!

Thats right peeps... today is Jackson Rathbone's birthday and is so deserves to be announced on this blog because lets face it... we love him.

To my readers: I haven't given up on TAoR... I got a mad case of writers block and just could now beat that bitch no matter how many pictures of Jackson I looked at. And then, when she finally vacated... I got stuck with a major school project which is finally done. And if that wasn't enough... my main computer got a big bad bug. Luckily, most of my stuff is on my net book. UGH.

In summary... TAoR chapter 8 (I think) is coming!

With the new year comes new adventures...

Are you ready for them?

2011 will be full of new adventures for this cowgirl. First and foremost, this is my stallions first breeding season; I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a successful 2011 breeding season. Second, my mare is due in March with my stallion's first baby. Now, this is the mare that has yet to let me be there for a birth. Or I should say I have missed both births thus far because 'people' did not believe me when I said she was having that baby. Examples:

  • Her first foal, 'they' decided to go out to breakfast instead of listening to me that the baby is coming, Kayde is in first stage labor. Well, two beat one so I angrily hopped in the car and bitched the whole way to Denny's. After breakfast, they decided to stop at some garage sales. Well, when we got back, there was the baby staring back at us. We missed the birth by no more than ten minutes. Insert 'I told you so' here.
  • Her second foal, Mia, was a bitch waiting for. We literally camped out in a small travel trailer at the barn for a week. A week of crazy ass, cold weather. The last day we were there, I noticed she started dripping milk and waxing up; a sign that the foal would be in the world in roughly twelve to twenty-four hours. Well, we went home and got to sleep in a real bed in a heated house. When we got to the barn the next day, I was scared shitless when I opened the barn door and a baby staring at me.
I hate missing births. Not just because I want to see them come into the world but because so many things can go wrong. Everything from dystocia to red bag deliveries where you pretty much have to rip the foal out of the mare since it is suffocating. So far, out of about twenty births, we've been lucky and never had a really big problem. Don't get me wrong, we've had our share of problems but we've never had a red bag delivery... yet. Needless to say, I refuse to miss this birth.

Last big adventure is stepping out into the business world. Now, if any of you know me then you would know that I'm a business major. That doesn't necessarily set you up for your own business though so it's a scary to start a business... especially in this tough economy. But, I have faith. I've got the name and I'm starting on the product but need a little help from my readers. Now, I'm not asking a lot. In fact, I'm just asking a question: what is your favorite home fragrance? From that question alone, I'm sure you can guess what my product is. That's right, I'm making candles, tarts, and other home fragrance goodies. Eventually, I will branch out and also include lotions, soaps and other elements.

I'm just starting out online with a few tart fragrances. Hey, don't judge me; I'm doing this all out of pocket and on a college kid's budget. It'll be tough, but I'm up for the challenge. What about you readers; what new adventures await you in 2011?
